Join Keystone Heritage Park for an engaging evening exploring one of the most important—and often overlooked—chapters in the history of the El Paso–Ciudad Juárez borderlands.
Presented by Dr. Alana de Hinojosa, Assistant Professor of History at Texas State University, Remapping El Chamizal examines the historic Chamizal Dispute and its lasting impact on our region. For nearly a century, the shifting course of the Rio Grande altered the international boundary between the United States and Mexico, creating a complex land dispute that reshaped neighborhoods, displaced families, and forever changed the cultural landscape of the border.
Through historical maps, stories, and research, Dr. de Hinojosa will explore:

- How did it affect the people and communities of El Paso and Ciudad Juárez?
